Elizabeth, your quilt is lovely. How nice that you are able to complete what another quilter could not.

I am having issues with doing this curve part where all the small pieces are sewn. Any suggestions? I tired paper piecing it and maybe I am just not good at that, now I am trying to just cut out the small pieces. I have to get this done tomorrow. I have to get it out of here on Monday .

Mu sister sent me 5 large boxes from her sewing room.  So far I have completed 6 of her projects.  Two were tops already done that I quilted.  The rest have been in various stages.   It inspires me to know that I am continuing her legacy.  The two completed tops are the ones I did first, they are wall hanging that now grace her sons music studio.  I gave them to him for Christmas last year and he completely broke down and cried, my heart was full.

Elizabeth the legacy quilt is beautiful.  What a great story.  I can understand the son's tears.  That was a true gift from the heart.

I made 123 2" HST fpr Bonnie Hunters MQ. I have another 80 to do but feel like real progress has been made. Looks like I will actually finish a step early. Maybe I will have time to go back and work on Steps 1 & 2.

Goat rescue farm that my daughter volunteers for has a charity auction on eBay. I had donated a quilt and its part of the auction. Take a look. Lots of goodies.

So bummed!  I've been staying up nights piecing a flannel quilt for DH for Christmas.  Have 3 more rows to sew together and I feel like throwing it in the trash.  I'm so frustrated...I was soooo careful with the cutting and making sure I had scant 1/4 seams (checking frequently)...and as I'm putting the rows together I'm losing 98% of the points on the blocks (tumbling block pattern).  And of course I don't have time to go get more fabric, and start over.  I guess I'll put these last three rows on and the borders and get it quilted and give it to him anyway.  Naturally, because he is such a love, and so supportive, he will say he loves it anyway and use it.  But I feel horrible about it.  I'm trying to get myself into a more positive outlook and tell myself that I should look at it as a learning experience.  Maybe I shouldn't challenge myself quite so much since I'm still a newbie - be happy with rail fence quilts!

Thanks for letting me vent...guess I can get back to sewing now...but I do have a question for all you experienced gals....

This quilt is a flannel top and I'm using a Minky-like backing.  What would you bind it with? Flannel? Cotton?  Or should I fold the micro-fleece over to the front, machine stitch it down and make that the binding???  Any and all suggestions/directions/help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I found it by just going to eBay and doing a search for the item number (111236277052)

Great quilt, Judy!  Good luck with the auction.

Kelley-- So cute!   How big is the embroidery block?  That used a lot of different colors!  You're encouraging me to get a new embroidery machine.  I don't know if that's good or bad!
