I did work on a quilt. I quilted one block before work. I hope to quilt a few more before church tonight. Little by little I will finish this quilt!

Not much quilting going on, but I did make a couple of  little trees for the DGDs. The green one is a real dark geen and doesn't show very well.

I'm finishing up the quilting on a Christmas gift, a Seahawks quilt. The team is doing so well this year I'm finally using fabric I bought last year. Because it's such a deep blue and wasn't real great quality, I pre-washed it no less than 3 times with color catcher sheets. Really, 3 times!

Even so, look what it's doing to my quilting gloves! Not good. Teach me to use less than quality fabric. I'll wash the completed quilt and I'll put at least 3 sheets of color catcher in with it. Plus I'll give washing directions and some color catcher sheets with the quilt.

We got through our 18 degree temps without snow. Now that it's warmed up to low to mid 40's it's just rain. Much luckier than you folks in Oregon. And can't compare with Deb and Nancy in Minnesota!!

I am able to quilt though....so all is well!

MNnancy:

Dawn:
the Arctic air is coming, so we have hit our high for the day, it will be 1 by noon and -1 by the time I would get done bowling.  Plus the winds are supposed to pick up

The temp is negative 22 this morning.  I don't even want to know what the wind chill is!  Happy as can be that I have nothing on the calendar, the dog walk will take all of 5 minutes, and I can sew all day!!!  I'm working on the guild's BOM.

Nancy it was -31F without the windchill this am I think it was -42 with windchill.  It has been a whole week since the students were allowed outside for recess. They are going nuts for being cooped up.

Ugh! I will NOT complain about weather here any longer!

I can recall the winter of 83?82? when we were blizzarded in for 10 days at -20's at least the whole time. People froze in cars out on the interstate!

Judy sorry this is happening.  Cold water, gentle cycle, color catchers is the way to go.
