Linda Gless:hese are the 2 quilt tops I have finished in the last month. One is for our son (the first one) and one is for our daughter. Now I just have to sit down and quilt them. Have the backs and the bindings done - time to get to the quilting work!
Linda, 2 beautiful quilts. I especially like the blue one with the sashing. The sashing really adds to it.

Max give yourself big pats, you did a great job putting that fabric to work.
Max, I love what you are doing with your fabric. If your arm won't reach far enough around to pat yourself on the back, I would be glad to do it. These are beautiful. Ginny
MaxNTopeka:But I am about to break my arm patting myself on the back for getting all those points to match up!!! I guess there really is a first time for everything.
Max, You deserve many pats on the back for these. They are beautiful. I started a quilt of this type a few years ago but was frustrated by the bulky centers. Since then I have learned from everyone on here how to tame those pesky seams. Maybe I should dig out that quilt and attempt it again!
Linda, your quilts are beautiful. I am sure your children with love them.
Max, you did a great job on those points, Congratulations. Give yourself as many pats as you can, they are well deserved!
Of course it's prideful to pat yourself on the back!!! As penance you just ship those blocks to me...when the quilt is done. Wonderful blocks. On my bucket list somewhere.
Linda - Beautiful quilts!!! I agree that the sashing on your daughter's really "makes" the quilt...love the pattern!
Max - WELL DONE!!!!! Consider yourself "virtually" patted on the back - and a big hug, too!
As for me, I also worked on a couple of quilts!! Yay! I finally finished the quilting on my grandson's quilt and finished the binding. I had finished the top and started the quilting back in the summer...then Dad died, and we moved across state lines, and my life has been consumed with trying to get 2 estates settled and dealing with 3 houses...selling 2 and setting up 1. It felt so good to be able to spend some time for ME!! Also started piecing the Toyko Subway Quilt, but working on that sporadically since I have 3 more tops to get quilted. Having a hard time getting used to quilting on the frame. Hate to admit that I even had to frog some of the quilting I've done on the frame already.
With it going to be so cold here in DE this weekend, I'm going to want to be quilting all weekend...unfortunately, I have to paint a room and get mucho other stuff unpacked and organized...oh well : /
Great quilts Linda. Your kids wil love them.
Max, did you feel that? That was me helping you pat your back. Love the fabric, so rich and colorful.
MaxNTopeka:Excuse me...I'll be lurking and doing a happy dance!
Max, your stars (and points) are absolutely beautiful and you deserved that pat on the back! But you forgot to mention you were using Inklingo to do these gorgeous stars. You are a great testimonial as you've been avoiding blocks like this...until you tried Inklingo.
For anyone on the fence about using Inklingo for the Celtic Solstice Mystery Quilt, just try it like Max did!
Hi everyone, the quilts are so pretty. You all did a great job on them. I love the purple and that pink did make the border pop. Also those blue quilts are great. I haven't been on for a while but I have been sewing. I finished a Fall/Thanksgiving table runner I had put away several years ago. today I finished quilting a queen size that I want to give for a Christmas gift. It was a bom from JoAnn Fabric from 1999. ha I put the front of the binding on today. Going to work on it as I travel to Ohio to our daughters next week. I will try to post pics when I figure out how to. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Linda and Max great job i feel it needs repeating. I'm amazed by them.

These two quilts are outstanding. The colors are so rich and vibrant. Can I be adopted?
