Mimi:

Judy T-Bellingham:
I see on her website that most of her kits are already sold out, especially for the dowager who is my favorite character.

Went to her Etsy site and everything that was already pre cut is gone.  Guess I'll have to muddle along cutting for myself.  The dowager is my favorite character too.

This sounds like fun. I went ahead and registered also though I'll have to wait to get fabric.

Mimi, I'm not sure why the link didn't work though because it was correct.  Let's see if that works.

The quilt store where I work should be getting the fabric soon. I'm looking forward to it and I've never seen the show! When does it air? Must be opposite one of DH's shows. Anyway, I LOVE the fabric.

Oh my, you've never seen Downton Abby? It's addictive for sure. It's now going into the 4th season in January. Roxana, it's on PBS so I'm sure you could check online to catch the times. I believe season 3 is or will be going into re-runs. But it's well worth seeing it from the beginning, you'll really get caught up in the characters. It's not just a girly show, my husband loves it also. You could get them on Netflix or perhaps the library.

Thanks Roxana.  I registered this afternoon at my LQS.  I decided on Lady Sybil's fabrics.  I think I should probably get my head examined for starting another project but it should be fun.

The show doesn't start again in the USA until the first week in January in this neck of the woods. So check your PBS listings.

Pam, your quilts are beautiful!  I especially like the one with the kitties on it, nice job on both!

Mimi - Thanks for the Downtown Abbey Quilt along link...I did register...now just have to decide!

Pam - WOW!!! So much inspiration!  I absolutely LOVE the Labyrinth quilt that came up, but think it's probably a bit beyond my capabilities...a couple of the log cabins were pretty neat, too.  Decisions, decisions....and then there's the quilt-along....

Have a fabric-shopping trip to Lancaster, PA planned with a friend, end of Nov or beginning of Dec...maybe I'll chill and let the fabric talk to me before making a final decision.....

Thanks all for your input...and I'm all ears if anyone else wants to weigh in - LOL!

I have been working on quilt blocks. But also, bit by bit, reorganizing my room. Tucked in the back of a bin, I found this piece. It's something I designed in EQ7 at least a year ago and actually made it to see how it would go together. The idea was to make enough for a quilt but the construction of this was a bit daunting so I went no further.

It's 36 x 36 and now I don't know what to do with it. I don't think I even have all the fabrics any longer as they've been used for other things. But I love it.

Just add some borders...it would be a striking wall hanging/quilt!!! Nice work!

Thanks Didash. I had thought of a wall hanging except we have no available walls. But you got me thinking and I've wanted something on our bedroom wall. Not exactly compatible with the quilt on our bed but could be interesting.

Judy

It would also make a gorgeous table topper.

That is beautiful Judy. I think I would go for a wall hanging too, doesn't even necessarily need a border, just binding (black?)

Or a tabletopper depending on the size of your table.

Thanks Jacy and Nana.  As I dug further into my piles of stuff, I found a large baggie with pieces that I think were meant for the 2nd section. Will have to look at that more carefully. Here's an EQ file photo of the layout I had hoped to do. Only got as far as the only section.
