My eldest GD, who is 12, is taking sewing in school, so I made her a sewing kit. She and I love pink.
Here is the tool roll up
Angee, love the rag quilt!
Elizabeth, I love your bag and the sewing kit with the tool roll up is the cutest thing! Love your choice of colors on both.
Oh how sweet, Elizabeth. Did you use a pattern or make it up yourself? My DGD#1 would love this in a couple years.
Angele, Thank you, I love your rag quilt.
Karla, I hope you are a safe and happy trip to and from the Oregon Retreat.
Elizabeth, Your sewing kit looks great, but all your bags look great.
Elaine Phillips:I trimmed off the selvege, forgetting that I had the fabric folded in forths lengthwise.
Elaine, That's something I would do!!! Hope the other side did go better. I just got a little time to read - - am nearly a week behind, but at least I can get caught up here a little.

Instead of quilting, I have been picking up "stuff" outside. We had an addition built for an outdoor-type wood stove and the area nearest the house - 16 x 12 - (my old greenhouse) was going to be a workshop for me along with a mini-greenhouse along the sunny side. I had that wall made all windows. After sweeping tons of dirt, leaves, old roofing, and sawdust off the floor before I paint the cement, I looked back at it and all the light and decided it would make a very nice sewing room! The room is for me to do whatever I want with it, so if I can get the wiring, insulation, sheetrock, etc done along with painting the cement floor, It might finally remove my quilting from the middle of the kitchen. Maybe I can have my kitchen back again! The ideas are swirling in my head now.
I guess I have had a long enough rest, so back to the sunny outdoors. This is not one of my better days, but I do feel better doing something and getting out. I told Rich this morning that I felt like a squashed bug this morning - - - his remark - and that was a pretty big bug!! I get SO MUCH SYMPATHY!!!
Enjoy this day the best you can. If your weather is as good as ours today, take advantage of it. There will be plenty of miserable days ahead for quilting. (I need to take my advice more often myself.)
Your messenger bag looks great Elizabeth.

Karla, I too am joining the group of jealous people who will just have to enjoy your online reveals. In a year I will be able to plan and go to at least one. For now, drive safely end enjoy the retreat for all of us.
Thanks Elizabeth, I really love your sewing kit and roll. This is so neat!
Oh, Marsha, I would be working double time if it meant that space could be my very own quilting space. How exciting/. Ginny
