I know, I have to get bunch done in one day cuz I've been lazy the rest of the week!
zoetc, love your Cowboy Quilt. Is it a wall hanging? Was this your own pattern? Since my DIL is a Steelers fan, I try to make her something with the Steelers logo.
Thank you !!! ( actually, to everyone...I read from the bottom back...lol)
I saw this done as a whole quilt, so it was not my idea. I did buy the pattern from Cyrille who designed it at her site BubbleStitch. This pattern is called One Star American Patriotic. She has many other paper piecing patterns there as well.
I did not know how I was going to finish it out, as we all know we wait to hear what the quilt will tell us. Yes, it is a small wall hanging for a teenager boy.
I have taken a dowel rod tonight and painted it silver and then I will use silver wire that we use for hanging pictures and sting it through. I grew up with brothers so I know you got to just about do everything for them or it will not get hung. I am happy how it turn out.
Carol from Pittsburg, I love your quilt. I guess for me it would be probably in the lower house.i love it!

I love your quilt Patricia. I love the bench on the wall hanging.
Zoetc, that cowboys quilt is cute.
eparys:What I was aiming for was something with interest but not enough that would keep you attention in the center. Did I get it or do I need to go back and do something else?

Haven't been on in some time. Been busy with Mom and husband. I have a question. I'm working on a version of the Irish Chain. It's a baby quilt for our next granddaughter. I know the Irish Chain is usually cross hatched but I can't figure out what is correct. Can I just go one direction? I am assuming you can only stitch the cross hatch so far and then you have to tie off and start again once you roll the quilt? Does anyone have answers for me or some hints on how to do this? I want to do swirl meandering in the girls and the hearts and star blocks. Thanks for any help you can give!
Love your baby quilt Ramona! Personally, I would do the diagonals in both directions. Otherwise your quilt might pull and not stay straight. Doing a gentle meandering in the big blocks will look great.
No quilting today, canning, freezing and house work on top of the Terry Fox walk took most of my time. I will catch up tomorrow....I hope.
I finished a table runner today ,just needs the binding sewn on. And finished the first border on the RR . Laid out the pieces for a FWS block to put together. Yes I'm still plugging away at this thing. I'm determined to get them all done. I think I only need 10 more.
