Bev :
Then I noticed I had not cut the antlers for the deer so spent all morning going through every nook and cranny trying to find the pattern.

I see why you were so desperate to find your pattern.  Without their antlers, those deer look like great danes!  LOL  I like that your colors are brighter than the sample shown.  Yours looks more Christmas-y to me.  Good luck with all those stars!

Yes, I did.  I finally got MQ6 finished, and also made a trip to the LQS when picking up grandson from football practice, so I picked up some CW fabric.   Here is the finished version of MQ6, although DH was not very cooperative in holding it up.

Thanks Nana and Bonita!

MNnancy,

I agree my "deer" look like big dogs so I am laughing also. I probably would have been better waiting until I found a better fabric for them but by the time I got to the steps for those blocks I was already tired of this pattern and just want to get it finished.  For me this was one of those moments of "What was I thinking? lol

Great learning experience for me though!

Pam, I'm not in the least surprised that you won a ribbon. That is a masterpiece of a quilt.

I did work on a quilt today. I finished this piece for a color and design class I have been taking. It is a study in temperature. I quilted it myself.

Thank you for the high compliment- and your quilt is so striking on the black background- temperature study a success!

Elaine, your color quilt is beautiful!  You have been having such fun with this class, haven't you?!  Remind me, is this something you are doing online, or do you meet with an instructor in a class near your home?  I would love to find a class like this.

Oh, I'm glad you're laughing because I was afraid what I said could be taken the wrong way. Your reindeer will look exactly like the ones in the original once you have those antlers on.  I think what the original designer left off is the reindeer's tail.
