Agnes, this is beautiful.  Your work is exceptional.  One of these days I'll get that good, I hope.

Karla--I have no idea how long you have quilted. I have been quilting non-stop for 20 years plus I started with three exceptional quilters as teachers for my original group of lessons. A lot of my workmanship comes from nothing but repetition. Being an organizer and perfectionist also plays into the mix. On one of my job critiques the biggest point was that I was too hard on myself and thus expectations for others were set too high. I have a constant companion, the man on the galloping horse. It's amazing how forgiving photos are because there are many places on this quilt that corners don't match, etc. The fabric proved a real challenge. I backed the knit for the name with an iron on interfacing but for a good job all the other fabrics should have been backed or severely starched. They were poly cottons, some seersuckers, many homespun type plaids all of which proved a challenge. Because of the fabrics I did no reverse sewing. It just went in the way it was.

Just hang in there and keep enjoying the journey, not just the destination.

So far this is what I've been working on.  The fabric is like 15 yrs old from my stash.
