Agnes:
I'm feeling mine would be better on the back than front.

I'm sure you're being hard on yourself, Agnes.  I'm sure Marge will be pleased with everyone's block, no matter the skill or talent level, but I feel the same way about the block I sent for Kristen's quilt after seeing all of those beautiful blocks everyone has been posting.

Karla--Thanks for the kind words. I think the piecing has made the grade. It's my normal thinking outside the box that has gone on a very long holiday.

OK you gals, all of the blocks are going to be wonderful and totally cherished.  I am blown away by this act of love and want you all to know how much I appreciate all the work you gals are doing.

I have been involved in projects like this before and honestly didn't think I would ever be the recipient.  The quilt will be such a day brightener for many many  days.  Thank you all so much.

Have been told I could be in here 6-8 weeks which is pretty daunting - will do what is best and take it a day at a time.

Thanks all for the love and prayers winging my way.

Hugs to all -

Marge

Glad to hear from you Marge!

Sorry you are going to be in there so long. Do what you are supposed to so that you can make it to the retreat this fall, you'll have lots of ladies-in -waiting there ready to help with all that you need.

Here is mine. That is not a spot on the white, sorry...it is lint. I doubled on the white to make it show up better. I will get this mailed off tomorrow.

Zsofia that is gorgeous, oh my I don't think I can ever do anything like that.  I had problems making a 9 patch tonight.  Great work.

Agnes, check your machine book instrucitons.  I just discovered tonight after tearing my block apart that my machine has a automatic setting for the 1/4 inch.  I knew the needle looked too far over.  Now I'm a dummy with all this and my machine is new.  I have had it over a year but wasn't able to do much work on it until recently.  The 2nd block turned out to the correct measurements.  It is a simple 9 patch block but I'm so proud of it. ha

Lots of beautiful blocks coming in for this quilt too.  Just finished mine today.  Hope it meets muster.  This certainly will wrap Marge in our good wishes and love as she recovers.  Thanks Karla for putting this together.  My package should be in the mail tomorrow if my car doesn't melt or the roadway buckle from the heat.

Mimi, I understand completely about the heat as it was 109 here today.  That block is beautiful, I'll be looking for it in the mail next week.
