Jacy, Love the quilting you have done on the quilt. Did you get enough money to get the backing, batting, binding and for shipping? Please let me know if you didn't. I'll send more.

Thank you all for your comments on the quilt. I must say that my confidence in quilting is much increased after quilting this.

Thank you to Weezee, Patty S and any others who offered to send more money. I had batting, etc on hand and I have money left to cover the shipping. Thank you to everyone who contributed $'s and blocks.

One last photo, I got the label made today. All of your names are on the blocks (if you forgot I signed them for you). I think I will send a card with it too, with everyone's names in it.

Jacy, the quilt for Kristen is beautiful, as are the thoughts and prayers that go with it.  I am sorry that I couldn't make a block to add but there was a beautiful job done by those who could.  Thank you for the great job that you took on.    Ginny

Jacy  Love, love, love the quilt. You did a great job! Thank you for your time and effort that you put in to this. I bet Kristin will cherish this quilt forever. What a nice gift! What I really like is that it is blocks from so many different states! So glad to be part of this.

Thanks

Frances:
now you can catch up on your sleep.

Not likely anytime soon I'm afraid. My DH gets up at 4:30, My 14yr old has a summer job, he needs a ride there at 6:30 am and then my DD needs a ride to and from work too, she sometimes gets off at 11pm. At least when I'm up early I can sew before the other kids wake up.

Here's an update I received from Kristin this morning. I hope things will go well for her today.

"Just a quick update to let you know that I'm going in today to try to activate the DBS device.

I don't know if Richard or I told you, but there was a substantial amount of scar tissue left on the Thalamus from the previous wires so when the surgeon's went to put in the new wires, only one wire found the "sweet spot" in the Thalamus.  That means, instead of four wires controlling the PD symptoms, this DBS device will give me only one wire to control the symptoms.

I am going into today's procedure with an open mind and a positive outlook.  I prayed last night, and "talked" to mom and dad and am comforted to know that they are watching over me.

I don't know if I'll make it home today or tomorrow.  If I don't get home today, feel free to reach out to Richard later today for an update.

Cheers."

Jacy, the quilt is awesome, you did such a great job in placing the blocks and off setting them and quilting each one with a different design.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this for Kristin and thank you for the update.  Extra thoughts and prayers will be with her and her surgical  team today.

Many hugs for you, my friend!
