Nana:
I am having some health problems and right now one eye is swollen almost shut.  Not able to doing any sewing

Now Nana, that just does not sound like fun. You take care of yourself, hope you'll be feeling better really soon. Don't worry about the block, I know you would have done one if you could, I will just write your name on the quilt somewhere.

Thanks for showing us the blocks. So how many blocks total are you expecting?

Nana, I hope you will feel better soon, and that the swelling will come down soon.

Nana,  I'm so sorry to hear that you're under the weather.

All, I have an update from Rich and it's good news. :)  Looks like Kristin WAS able to get a new device during her surgery.  It will be a while before she can start using it again, but still... I'm so glad to hear that she's not destined to live the rest of her life with totally uncontrolled PD.

From Rich:

Hi Carolyn and Jacike --

I am in Minnesota for Kristin's dads funeral, but I watned to send an update on her progress.  she is up and around and is hoping to go home as early as wednesday.  they did put in the new wires and sent the old ones to the manufacturer to see if they can figure out why they broke.  they won't be able to turn on the wires to take away the tremors for at least 6 weeks to allow the brain sweilling to go down.  my mom is staying with kristin.

i shared your emails and letters with kristin and it made her smile to know she is loved by so many in the quilting forum.  it was nice to see a smile come to her face after no many setbacks and down times.  thank you to you and all of her friends on the quilting forum.  I knw she enjoys quilting and it will again bring a smile to her face when she can resume quilting.
the visitation for her dad is today.  the funeral is tomrrow.  we are expecting an overflow crowd since he was an ordained minister.

thank you.

In spite of working on the lily block, it's not quite done.  I kept falling asleep with the needle in my hand.  I will finish it up at lunch today and  get it trimmed out tonight.  It will go out in tomorrow's mail.

I apologize for holding up the process, but I really wanted to do a good job and it's taking a bit longer than expected.

All the blocks are so lovely, great job everyone!!
