I have another update from Rich.  I think most of you know this, but Kristin is in Chicago and she won't be able to leave the hospital for some time, so I think it's doubtful that she'll be able to even attend his funeral.  Thanks again for all your kind words, which I think Jacy is passing along to Kristin and your work on the blocks.  These guys are definitely deserving of some good news!

Hi Carol and Jackie --

I wanted to let you know that Kristin's dad passed away Sunday evening.  He is in Minnesota.  Kristin's brother and sister were at his side when he passed.

I told Kristin this morning about his passing and she is now understandably upset.

Hugs to Rich & Kristin!

Now that I"m back from the craziness that was my reunion weekend, I will get my blocks for both quilts done this week and get them out in the mail.

Kristin and Rich I am so sorry for your loss. ( I lost my own Dad last year so I can feel your pain). No words can make it feel better but know that your Dad is at peace and you need to concentrate on getting yourself better. Lots of love Lxx

Jacy on a different note I have sent my block today should be with you in 5 days don't hold your breath though as we are talking Royal Mail. I am still waiting for a parcel that was posted 2 weeks ago first class from less than 25 miles away!

xx

Lesley,

Are you sure that parcel you are waiting for is Royal Mail, everything i have from royal mail is great, but things that arrived though DPD, Yodel and several others are awful (i find that some companies say they are sending it Royal Mail and dont). Ive even had one parcel droped half way down the road outside someones house.

lots of love

Carolyn,

Some members here have mentioned using Skype to quilt and/or visit together. This made me think that if Kristen's husband Rich is using a laptop or Ipad that has Skype the members here could use this to chat with her. This would help her from feeling isolated and brighten her day. I know you said that everything that comes in her room has to be sterile but feel this would be so good for her if it would be allowed.

I was sorry to read about the loss of her Father.

MORE tears flow. Father, we know that you get us though our worst times. It is so hard for us, as mere humans, to handle so much at one time. All we can do, Father, is to let you cradle us in your arms, and listen to your soothing words in our hearts. Father, we love you so, and know that you will always be there with love, hope and peace. In the name of your glorious son, Jesus, I pray.... Amen.

Rich and Kristin, I so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he's looking down at you telling you to get stronger. The love and caring you shared as father/daughter is unique. Keep the good memories close to your heart.

Then i think they better email you proof of postage, since this is way beyond the time (unless its coming from China).

lots of love
