Zoetc49, I thought about that after I posted. I just needed a break because I was brain dead. LOL. This is Kristen's block that I cut down to 9.5" for a 9" finished.
aka Grandma Sunshine
Oh, Maggie, it is just beautiful.
Frances, I love your block and am glad you chose EPP for it since I think it will remind her that she has thoughts, prayers and love from across the pond.
Jacy, I was surprised my block has already reached you since it was late Thursday went it went to the P.O. Everyone' blocks are so beautiful!! Kristen is so going to love this quilt so thanks again for letting us make this blocks for her and thank you for putting this together.
Maggie, the block is beautiful, even trimmed down. Glad you got it figured out!
Bev : I was surprised my block has already reached you since it was late Thursday went it went to the P.O.
Yep, it's always hard to guess when the PO will be efficient. If you needed it delivered in 1 day it would be guaranteed to take a week!
Maggie, I agree with Jacy. It is a beautiful block, even trimmed down.
Another super terrific block, Maggie. Just love the stitching you did on the seams.
So glad !! They both are so nice !!
I got to thinking that maybe we can all do a block exchange with our scrap fabric over the next year and by 2015, we each will have a new quilt..that we each put together.
Your block is just beautiful, what wonderful work.
lots of love
Your block is lovely, I love the blue/purple swirly fabric.
Magpie that is amazing! Bonita I love your too. Not sure mine compares but it's made with love so that's the important thing.
Excuse the ironing board cover! Will get it in the post tomorrow.
Sorry for the spelling on the previous post ( using IPad and its annoying autocorrect) so Magpie is meant to be Maggie lol!!!
Lesley, I love it i love the inner squares such pretty coloursxx
Lesley, I use iPad too and so do several other members. Sometimes the auto correct is great and sometimes embarrassing. LOL Thanks to all for the compliments. Every block is beautiful and unique. I love batiks and bright colors and have found something special about every block. She is going to love this quilt!
Zoe, I love the idea of a crazy quilt block swap! How fun that could be. I liked doing the 12" block for the crazy quilt because it made it easier to have a vision. That's probably because it was new to me. I don't know how to set up a swap but maybe someone will take the lead on it. I'd like to make some blocks with lace, beads and handwork but the time frame was too short for me to turn these blocks around. LOL. I'm pretty slow when it comes to handwork. Oh heck, I'm pretty slow when it comes to sewing, period! ROTFLMAO. But I do love it and it keeps me sane. ;-D
