My name is Eva, 64 years old, and joined the group just a minute ago.
I am new to quilting, since one year, and quilt with friends in my town, a new group called Ystadquiltarna.
One of my first contact with quilts was when I found a paper, Fons & Porter´s Love of Quilting, in a store in my town and two days ago I subscribed to this paper and really look forward to get the issues and to be a member of this group.
Eva,welcome to the group , IF you are learning you will have lots of fun and meet some great people . never fear to ask a question if you need some help ,some one here will have an answer. Very happy to have you joining us. Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Welcome Eva. This is a great group for any level of quilting. A lot of knowledge here and we love to answer questions. Lots of support and encouragement.
Friends had an exchange student from Sweden one year. She did the most exquisite embroidery. Very fine small stitches.
Hope you can post some pictures some time. We would love to see what you are working on.
Now I have posted some of my quilts.
Wow Eva! You have made some beautiful quilts. The bags are great too.
Welcome Eva! glad you found us!
Thank you! I will soon finish another quilt, something to wrap around me when I am cold.
My, next project is from a picture I saw in one of Fons & Porters magazines, Fiesta. A winner of a contest. I bought the pattern at their website. Wonderful! I will use fabrics from Kaffe Fassetts Classic Red and 4 different black fabrics.
Welcome Eva. Just checked your gallery and everything is beautiful. You don't look like a beginner to me, your work looks like it was done by a very accomplished quilter. Really love the scrappy star.
Thank you Karla, I really have been busy this year, but I also have good teatchers in our group. I have also been to many classes during the last year at Quiltameva
Welcome Eva, just came from your gallery, LOVELY!
Eva Andersson:but I also have good teachers in our group. I have also been to many classes during the last year at Quiltameva
Eva, you will be a nice addition to our group. I believe you could be teaching some of us a few things - maybe at a QCA retreat sometime. Do you ever see yourself traveling to the U.S?
I especially love your quick scrappy stars. What lovely, rich colors you chose!
