Hi all!

Is anyone else participating in the 3 month shop hop in Northern Illinois?  I would love a hop buddy for a day or two that really understands the quilting mind.  My DD is great, and very helpful, but her first question is always "What are you going to do with it?"

Just wondering if anyone else is playing along this summer.

We've got a 3 day shop hop here in Northwestern Nevada and I'd like a buddy to go with, too.  I think they might have a bus group that goes, maybe I'll look into that.

Karla ,those bus groups are so much fun. I have been on three and I loved them, Right now ours have stopped which is sad ,but the shops that were hosting them folded under , I hope someday we will have more .  Barbara

Three month???  Really?  I've never heard of one running that long, but that sure helps out the working person.

I agree!  I had a great PLAN to hit some of them every weekend.  However, my plans have changed due to my son's football schedule.  I may end up taking a day off to get to some of them.  Darn it!  And I will probably end up doing most of them towards the end of the time frame.  So much for plans, right?  But I am hitting one tonight that is closing on Saturday.  They are on the hop passport, and with them closing. my thinking is that not too many will be able to claim that square.  I'm not sure if the organizers are going to give extra credit for those with that stamp or not, but it's worth a shot.  AND!  they have their remaining fabric at 60% off--70% if you buy out the bolt.  Who can pass that up?

Susie, which shop is closing? My guess is it's closer to you than me but I haven't done much shopping lately (money going to basement remodel & no place to put any more fabric).  This shop hop is very tempting!

That's too bad. I only went there twice and it was such a nice shop. I wish I had lived closer & gone more often. It's hard to see the area shops close! I can't bring myself to buy mostly online - love to go to the shops, feel the fabric & see it with my own eyes.
