I am just getting back into quilting with this year's mystery quilt from HoopSisters. I made one previous quilt, in the late 1980s using the old Singer Featherweight I inherited from my grandmother. Other than that, my sewing has been predominantly garment-making. I treated myself to an upgrade at the Sewing and Quilt Expo earlier this year, buying a Husqvarna Ruby Designer Deluxe that had been gently used in one of the classrooms, and now I am exploring new ways to use my new toy! I am in the midst of the mystery quilt now, and will also be embroidering some table linens and bath towels, plus making some embroidered clock faces to make custom clocks for a couple of rooms in the house. I look forward to exploring the resources on the QCA site!
