Karla, that is so funny. My DGS is the same way! He is six and he talks our ears off too. I love it though. I hope he still talks to me that much when he is a teen.

Thank you!!  I love my long arm, it makes it very easy to just spend the time quilting and not worrying about the stitches.  I love doing the free hand sewing, I don't draw anything out on the quilt. I just get in the "groove" of sewing and making pictures with the machine.  Love it!!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments on my quilting. This quilt I made at my first quilt retreat. It was a class during the retreat in Kerrville TX. I actually didn't follow the directions for the class ( imagine that!) I was supposed to pick solid colors for all the blocks and I picked "coffee" inspired fat quarters that I loved. The red background I found at the quilt store during the class. Think the instructor was not pleased with my choices at first but when finished even she loved the way it turned out.

I will post more pics as soon as I finish, I'm done with the quilting, put the binding on last night. Almost finished hand sewing the binding. I will post a few pics of the back also as I did a strip of the blocks on the back also. Am excited on this one. I don't have a person for this one!

As I recall...  you're the only one we had to stop for to have lunch...  just sayin...  ;o)  We need to plan a trip to the TX Quilt Museum before you head out on your next great adventure!

Yes I did work on a "quilt" today.  My Roman shades.  It's been a 10-15 year project.  I forget.  Finished one about a year ago.  Now finishing another two.  One problem with UFOs is that it takes half a day to figure out how to do it again.
