I am truly sorry for your loss of a dear friend.  I know how hard it is to see someone slip away like that, but it sounds like she had a full life until the end and it appears she had a wonderful and trusted friend in you. Oh, that we could all be so lucky.    Ginny

Julienne, my prayers go out for you and all who were close to Henrietta. What a good person you are! She was blessed to have you as a friend.

Julienne, again, just so sorry for your loss.

I finished a quilt yesterday.  This happens only very rarely for me, so it's great when it does.  The cat vomited a giant, runny hairball on it when I was almost done with the quilting and I thought the stain would never come out, but I finally got it out!  Well, I missed one part, but I'm confident that it will come out if I use the same method.  (I soaked in 1 gal water / 1 heaping scoop of oxi-clean (about 1/2 c) for 6 hours, then wash, then repeat if needed).  After trying several other methods (including lots of scrubbing), I was very happy when something finally worked - especially since it was as easy as just soaking!

Carolyn (CarolBeau):

Carolyn, love your quilt.  What a great idea for using up all those left over hexies!!!  That is also a great border idea!

Thanks for the soaking suggestion for cat hair-ball residue...yuk. Hope I don't need to use that anytime soon...

Julz, sorry for your loss.  And bless you for making her final days and hours more comfortable.

Carolyn I love your quilt.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I love you all for your  support. It has been very tiring today. I did sew a bit and sleep more. LOL. The obit is done and will be in the papers tomorrow. It is time for more rest. Hugs to you all. Thank you all.

Julienne, sorry to hear of your loss but must say you sound like the person I would want to be near by, if I had been in Henrietta's shoes.  She's in a far better place than any of us.  God be with the family and with you in dealing with her passing.  Thoughts and prayers coming your way.

Julienne, sorry you have had a tough couple of days. i'm sure you were a blessing to Henrietta though, especially since it sounds like her family wasn't very close by.
