Elizabeth, what a gorgeous quilt and quilting! You did a fabulous job. Love it. By the way, how did you get the quilt and bed to hang from the ceiling?  :-)

AAARGH!  just got to the end of my quilt on the long arm and my backing is 5 inches to short.  First time ever.  Now to add a piece and reload to finish.  This is UFO #6 out of 7 and Spring in my 4 seasons of bed quilts for me

Elizabeth, your quilt is absolutely gorgeous!!!  I love your feathers and am in feather envy right now.  I keep thinking I am improving with my fmq, but my feathers still are wonky...ie, they stink!  (Not something I am willing to put on an actual quilt yet.)

I bought the book, Hooked on Feathers, but haven't got brave enough to try it on a quilt yet.  I've been trying to practice on the frame with the midarm, but I just can't seem to get the rhythm.

Pat Lancaster:

Judy, I finished the top and I can live with it, but I'm not real happy with it. The pattern is full of HSTs and I didn't have enough fabric to make them the way I like to ( sew two squares together) so I had to work with all those nasty bias edges. A lot of areas don't match up real well especially in the border. I doubt that DGS will care, LOL. I am in the process of piecng the back. I bought the fabric several years ago and didn't have a pattern, don't know what I was thining with the amounts I bought. Anyway, the pattern is on Quilting Treasures web site and it is free.

I love your quilt Pat!! You did a beautiful job. I've seen these fabrics recently but don't remember where. But I don't remember where. Might have been Hancocks of Paducah. But recent for me could be as long as a year ago. Anyway I think you did a marvelous job.

I love this topic. There are always so many gorgeous quilts that it is difficult to post on all of them if I limit my computer time.

I finished the Flowers Summer Quilt (no batting.) Other than about 3 dozen mug rugs to quilt and bind this finishes up the Birthday Flowers of the month fabrics, all received from very generous quilting cyber friends. I have also been out furniture shopping and am reorganizing a lot of stuff. The quilt storage cabinet is an antique document filing cabinet that we have had since 1974.I am in the process of organizing all that used to be in that cavity. This includes a large number of photos that I am currently scanning. boy, that cuts into quilting time.

Agnes, I love the flower of the month quilts...so colorful and springlike.  And the back...what a fantastic job you did on them.

Patti, your Pokey Puppy is just too cute...you guys always give me just so many great ideas.  I need to work faster so I can remember all I plan on making.  I write them down on my "to do" list, but I'm so disorganized, I always lose my to do list, LOL.
