Roxana:

Angele:

The first one is a baby quilt for my great niece.  The next one is a grad gift my friend and I made together.

What pattern is it? I love the colors!

Angele--I absolutely love this. I have done one very similar in fall colors. Making another one has never left my someday list. I know this as the Jewel Box pattern. I Googled it and lots show up. I love working with striped fabrics when they have a design. I have two striped fabrics right now. One is already being used in another quilt but there might be some left. I just picked up the perfect one yesterday. Go to http://www.jinnybeyer.com/assets/ax_content/patterns/pdf/jewel-box.pdf for instructions. This is now on my list.

Addition: The pattern shows one with batiks as well as the version using border stripe fabric.. Very complete instructions for both. And my bonus is that it is the size range I am planning to stick to for most future quilts. Maybe someday when I post a picture I can actually reference people to the pattern.

Agnes, I didn't see these as uneven nine patches.  That would be even easier!  Thanks for the link.

Oh Angele, I love this bright colorful quilt!  I graduated back in the 70's.  Did you make it for me?

I finished the Sleeping bear quilt

.

This  one isn't done yet.  I have added a dark 4" border and a light 6" border on both sides. It was long enough but needed about 20" wider.

Your Sleeping Bear quilt is so cute weezee, I must make one.  DD1 is expecting a girl and she has picked a teddy bear pattern for the nursery, pink and brown.  This would be absolutely perfect for it.  Is this a pattern or an original of yours?

It is from a pattern my Mom used to make DD1 when she was born. In 1983.

Thanks Debbie, Karla,Winurse, Nana, MaggieNae, Roxana, Patti, Marie, Weezee56, and Agnes for your nice comments.  The young lady graduating is getting it Saturday at her party. The pattern I used was from Eleanore Burns " Quilt in a Day" serie.  Fun to make but takes more than a day...lol

WOW Judy. That should keep you busy for a week or two. LOL! I've never done a shop hop, but sure would like to. Maybe someday.
