I tired to post a few minutes ago, but it did not show up. Strange.

I have this parasite that is going around in 8 states. You have probably heard of it on the news. Must be what has got me so down. Praise Jesus for this answer. Sorry for any toes I have stepped on. I have really been sick of body and of heart. Will see the doctor tomorrow for the "special" test that confirms this. The CDC said to take this test.

No sewing again today so far...I've made 6 12 oz jars and 11 8 oz. jars of plum jelly.  Had to break as it is so hot in the kitchen right now/   If it wasn't so hot outside I'd walk to the mailbox (about a long block away) and pick up the mail, but guess I'll wait until I have to head to the grocery to buy more sugar to make more jelly.  I haven't even used up the juice I made yesterday and would like to get that done yet today.   I think this is going to be a never ending job, like the pears were last year.

Karla, I bet it smells plum good in your kitchen right now and I know you will enjoy the fruits of your labor after you are all done. I would swap you some fabric for some jelly if only I lived closer.

I spent part of day trying to get rid of weeds in my roses.  It is a backbreaking job, think I will let grass grow back and use weed eater to keep around roses neat.

The rest of my time went into making arrangements to get Maggie back to her owner in Florida.  Already had coggins done and now will pick up health certificate that she needs to get back into FL.  Already got truck and trailer ready to go.

Now I'm down to 2 horses of my own and 3 of my friends.  I has been so very hot this week it is all I can do just to keep moving...very slowly.  Mostly staying in the house in the blessed air conditioning.

I posted pics of 3 quilt shops (trying to be funny with the "favorite sights" comment), but I'll assume you're talking about the third one.  It is one mile north of the Denali Park entrance on Parks Hwy along a boardwalk lined with shops.  She has some of the same Aurora Borealis and Alaskan wildlife fabrics that I found in the other shops, but she also sells a panel that she designed herself and sells exclusively in this shop. It is a compilation of photos she has taken since being in Alaska the past 19 years.  I purchased her panel and I'll post a picture of it when I get home.

Today we had steady rain, so we drove to Fairbanks and visited a wonderful museum on the Univ. of Alaska campus.

Shucks! Must have missed all the info on Quilt Odyssey :(  We are not that far from Hershey and would have loved to attend...oh well, maybe next year if they have it in the same location...

Nancy, thanks for the memory jog.  My DH and I did this same trip eons ago and probably have these same pics, except for the whale boat captain.  Only had eyes for DH legs at that time.  That pic could've been of him, put a smile on my face, thank you.
