Elaine, good luck on your upcoming surgery. And hope for a speedy recovery.
My middle child was very much like that, we had years of temper tantrums...she was ADHD, once she got herself worked up, she didn't know how to bring herself back down...took her to a child psychologist because I was really concerned, he did a form a hypnosis on her and believe me, it was complete night and day difference, he gave her a tape to listen to, it was a behavioral modification technique, and eventually the temper tantrums lessened and went away...it was her frustration level too high and no way express it in a positive way...lots of physical exercise also helped...but not to the point of getting overtired. It takes commitment, patience, and lots of love to get through it... :)
Cute purse Nancy, great colors. Nice stash and so pretty and neat. Are your strips 2 1/2 also. I have a big gift bag I'm filling up with scraps to cut down to size.
Gini, thoughts and prayer to you and your husband and partner's family, hopefully patience and calm will prevail and your journey through your trials will come to an end in the very near future!
Karla, congrats to your DSIL, he looks very happy.
Prayers for a successful surgery and a quick recovery!
Congratulations Karla to your SIL and your family..very nice looking young man :)!
It's been a crazy week, been taking care of Grands all week, along with going to the gym to help my older Sis learn how to exercise..she had bariatric surgery in Nov is now down 79 lbs, and now must learn to move and start the physical part of becoming healthy :) Went to U of M with baby girl for her dialysis clinic yesterday...still not putting her on the transplant list...she goes back to the University of Wisconsin this coming week, as the Only doc that is pediatric specialist in her disease practices there...I will have her older (almost 3 yr/old) brother this week...I am getting a workout on all levels these days. :) Can't wait till my sewing machine is finished.....so missing bernie :)
Oh my Beth, I can imagine just how your week has been. I have had a similar week. Started out last Saturday, my daughter and I watching a 3 !/2 mo old, Two 3 I/2 yr olds and a 5 yr old. Then Monday quilt group, Tuesday watching 3 1/2 yr old and 3 1/2 mo old and repeating the same on Thursday. It has been a bit more than bargained for, but I love them, all of them are my great grands. I hope taking the granddaughter to U of Wisc. will result in her being put on the transplant list. Good luck with it all. Ginny
Nancy, You have a beautiful sewing room. 'Wish I had such a great space, but I'd never be able to keep it so tidy and organized. I recognized the fabric you used to make Sprouts Fish right there on the top of your cut scraps! :)
Gini, tell Sam to come spend a few days fishing with the boys if he needs a break. Methinks you are gonna get an amazing amount of hand-sewing done this summer! Hang tough, girl.
Darlene, take a break and sneak off to your LQS for some therapy just as soon as you can. It's the perfect time to build your stash while he's too sick to notice!
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
Cc, Sam would love to take you and the boys up on that offer, as soon as he has time.

Nana, have a great time at VB with your DD and Grands!
