Marie, my peonies are about three inches tall. They won't bloom till mid June.

My son came for a week long visit.  This mad me so happy. Tonight he's out with his better half and who might be my DDIL one day. I really like her. So I'm catching up on all the great reads. I love the purchases, the flowers....my tulips are just out! Too wet to clean the flower beds, maybe tomorrow.

CC, I tried the other two bobbins that I bought from Joanne's and guess what?  No problems with them, it was the one I chose did not have a good fit and it kept slipping out.  I am so freaking mad, I worked on that bobbin problem for weeks and chose the one bobbin that had a problem out of the three.

Mimi, you are so sweet to offer some of your older bobbins but it looks like I'm all set now.  Thank you so much!  Can't wait to actually sew with it.  It'll have to wait for the weekend though.  One of my dear friends lost her DD on Monday and the Funeral is tomorrow.  See y'all here on Saturday.

Gee Patti, I don't see anything 'wrong' in you pic. I'm jealous. My Iris' won't be out til mid-late June. As for  the s**w... Heck, we still have white mountain tops in July, and usually they only stay clear for 5-6 weeks before the Aug storms put their hats back on, so I see nothing wrong there, either.

Angele, I checked my peonies today and they are quite tall and have many many buds on them, what a show they will make this year when they bloom!

Nana and Diane, I am needing a shop hop about now, looks like you all made a great haul.

Patti, your flowers are beautiful. Irises are my favorite. Mine have been blooming for about 2 weeks, and more are to bloom, yet.

marie, glad you solved your bobbin problem.

Ispent the day mowing my yard.

Everyone have a great weekend.

ah yes, but these are not the mountain tops.  The mountain tops around here always have snow.  These are just the hills before the mountains.

But I do realize that we are far ahead of you.  And that probably your early winters are one of the reasons we don't do a fall retreat there.  Even in Sept.  Heck, you just get feeling like it's summer and then it's snatched from you.

Sukochi, How beautiful your garden is. I am still waiting to get my plants in. It has just maybe stopped raining here so I can get out side and start planting again. I do have some hardy flower that are coming back from last year that look very nice, but they are in large pots. The ones that were in the ground drowned.
