Hello ladies.   The shop hoppin' ladies are done for the day. Got lots more goodies and really helped Virginia's economy.   Then went to Outback Steak house for a fantastic dinner....yummy.

The above fabrics will be used in a Flowering Nine Patch.

The charm squares are for an old fashioned patchwork quilt for a friend.

The patterns above complete my purchases.    Now we get to see Diana's

Diana also shopped in my stash and found fabric to use for her MQ8 border....woohoo.....

Marie

It sounds like you aren't getting your bobbin locked into place.   Make sure to hold the little arm in the center of the bobbin case out until the bobbin case is slide snuggly into place and then let loose of the arm.  You should not be able to remove the bobbin case once it is locked into place until you again hold the little arm outward.

We had a great time, gang.  Shopped and ate til we can't walk. Lol  My mq8 is a really deep purple and white.  The border is also a deep purple and matches beautifully.   Now to go back home tomorrow and get it finished.

Susie it never hurts to check with a different doctor when you think one isn't quite right.  My DGS has aspergiers, PDD and other things and wasn't correctly diagnoised until he was 13.  His pediatrician kept saying it was more than ADHD but didn't know what.  We saw a different doctor and he caught it right away and then we started getting the proper help.  Not saying there is anything wrong with you DGD.

Good luck and enjoy the blessing she is, even when it is difficult times.

Oh Frances.  I hope you make it here some day.  Just think, you could see the states and never have to stay at a hotel, you have so many friends here.

Nana, if the bobbin is supposed to lock into place, that is what the problem is.  I just held the arm, which I always did, pushed the case all the way in and let it go.  It does.not lock in, it comes out without my holding the arm.  I'm about to go to bed but I'll look further into it in the morning.  What puzzles me is that it was purring before I started taking her apart to get to know her.  I thought I was so carful to watch how she came apart so I could be sure to get her back together the right way.  I missed something, just have to take her apart again and see what I did wrong.  Very frustrating!  Thanks for letting me know that the bobbin case does lock in.  I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow.

Well, of course you had just the right shade of purple to match Diana's MQ8 blocks!  I imagine you have every shade of purple imaginable!  That will look stunning!

How far does Diana live from you?
