Yay! Congrats! That is wonderful! Have fun!
Congratulations, Mimi! What a great online shop. What about signing up for one of their block of the months and let it be a gift that keeps giving! You could do that without going to far over.

Yeah Mimi!!! Have a great time with your winnings :)!
Hi all!! Have been very busy with the grands...no time to quilt, but DSIL was out doing what she loves best, flea markets, garage sales etc...called me up and told me she had something I might like...hmmm can't imagine what she found??? Look at these pics and tell me what you think???
awesome!!!! I have got to get to more garage sales!!!!!!!! Love it!
Well Spud, I wanted to let you and everyone else know that I kept it under the $100 and got two kits. All I had to pay for was the shipping. So I guess it cost me $13. Pretty good I think. They've been a bit slow in sending them but I should have them by the end of the week.
She is beautiful. I have one in a case like that too.
Mimi, congrats. I would have such a hard time making a choice.
Beth, WOW! What condition is it in? How's that cord? Fr,om what I can see. looks like it has seen better days. Does it run? Oh, my, at a yard sale?? Must have been grandma's estate sale!
It definitely has seen it's better days...from what I can tell, everything on it is original...was almost afraid to plug it in...cord is frayed. It didn't run, nor did the light come on, but the wheel is completely moveable...I looked the number up, looks to be a 128 from 1925. I've been trying to figure out if it would be worth it to revamp it..I can't tell for sure, but I think it had a knee bar...It really is pretty and the case is in wonderful shape, needs a plate for over the bobbin case..it's one of the vertical bobbins...just amazing to see how far we've come in less than 100 years!!! :) OH, my DSIL paid 5.00 for it!! LOL
Here's a pic of the baby I picked up at a garage sale today for $75...needs some refurbishing, especially to the cabinet, but I'm hoping that it's worth refurbishing.
The serial number is H1116192 which the singer site says is a 1907.
Wow Karla, what a find. Maybe I should start shopping garage sales more often. I would love to have one of these or a feather weight. I think they are getting harder to find now that everyone wants them. Congratulations to you and Beth both.

Karla and Beth - you are taking us beyond the world of Featherweights! How fun! Here is an excellent forum on cleaning and using vintage sewing machines...
