My name is Jan and today I will be finishing my second quilt in 15 years! I have two children, each happily married. They in turn have given me four wonderful grandchildren - 3 boys, 1 girl. And I'm happy to say another is on the way! 1 guess what the next quilt is!
I decided to start making quilts again after running across Quilty. I then picked up a few magazines which is where I learned about Quilters Club. So far I have only looked around a little bit, but I see lots of things to explore. Working Tues - Sat can make it hard to join local classes, as they have this habit of being on Wed and Sat!
I look forward to learning many things, and hopefully meeting many new people!
Jan, you have definitely come to the right place to meet new people and talk about quilting (and anything else under the sky)!
Welcome to QCA! I hope we'll see you here frequently on your days off. Do we get to see a picture of your newest quilt?

Welcome Jan :)
I'm glad you found this group. You will find a lot of inspiration here.
I lived in Phoenix for several years and spent time in Tucson, often on our many trips down to Tubac :)
Jan, welcome and enjoy!
Welcome, Jan. Lot's of good people and encouragement on this site. I think you'll like it.
I'm in Las Cruces, NM - practically neighbors, right? At least we are both from the southwestern desert any way. Just a quick trip down I-10; down the road a-piece, lol.
This website has been instrumental for me in many ways. The ladies here are so extremely helpful in more ways than just sewing. And they all have such wonderful ideas it's so nice to share this place!
If you happen to like western designs like I do; I recently found this website which has several western themed quilt kits and patterns:
If you ever head our way, let me know. We host cross-country cyclists all the time; so I don't see why we couldn't host quilters as well! Or at least we could meet for lunch or something.
Hi Jan and welcome. I've been here a year and have learned A LOT and met some wonderful people. Look around in the groups sections, lots of stuff going on in them. Hope you enjoy QCA!
Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I'll get a picture up as soon as I figure out where the camera is, and how to upload....I know I saw instructions while meandering through the site the other day...
Welcome to the club.
Hi Jan. Glad you have joined us. This is a great place for inspiration, fun and support. And we love to answer questions and see what everyone else is doing.
Jan welcome to the club, glad you found your way to us .
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
My second quilt...
Ok...if I've done this right, there should be a picture of the quilt here...or not. Well now, seems I've made a link to my gallery instead. I'll have to try this again in the morning! Meanwhile, I hope y'all don't mind that it's a link.
