I just joined today.  I've been wanting to get into quilting for a very long time.  I'm from OK originally, and did a small hand-piecing project there - however, between kids, softball & work, I was never able to get fully into it.  Kids grown and goen, now, I'm just tired of waiting and am anxious to get started with machine quilting.  I look forward to getting some tips and encouragement, as I seem to be so apprehensive these days - I think I'm afraid I'll just mess things up, so I don't just dive in like I should. I'll get past it, though.... and I look forward to making some new friends! :)

Hi, Kelly.  Welcome, you'll love it here.  Where you from in OK?  I live in the OKC area.

Hi Kelly!  Some of the other Texas QCA-ers are together at a retreat right now.  We're hoping they'll post some fun pictures when they get back home.

Kelly, hi and welcome!  Afraid?  I was the same way but went ahead and did it.  I asked myself "what's the worse that can happen"?  I got myself a book with a pattern I liked, watched PBS' Eleanor Burns, got help at my local quilt shop with fabric selection and away I went.  The result is the Log Cabin quilt I have on my bed today and that happened years ago.  As for friends, you've made a ton right here, right now, so you're one of the family now, enjoy!
