I have been a paying member of QCA for alittle over three years , I would think that has a payimg member I should not have to pay to take the quilting classroom classes, Why is this ? it should be made part of our Perks. Barbara

Good question, Barbara!

...or at least the paying members shouldn't have to put up with the frustrations of this s-l-o-w site.  That alone would make me happy!

Nancy I so agree with how slow this site has been ,I was on here about @@3;30am last night after spending 2 hours trying to get on. I was the only person on the whole site not even any guest and it was still slower then a snail.  I'm mean like Gee !! Enough is Enough !!

I, for one, find it frustrating that Internet Explorer is no longer functioning here. I have to up-grade and even then they won't guarentee that it will improve my ability to get on. What's with that??

Barbara, I feel the same way and will not pay for them!!!!    Also, It is so SLOW  and takes forever to get on the site Im thinking I may not pay to be a premium member when my membership expires. Its so FRUSTRATING and who has the time to wait.     Susan

I am using Internet Explorer and have no problems at all....what version are you using? I do know that version10 has problems so I did a system recovery back to a later date before I upgraded to version 10...it runs just fine now

I'm still using IE #9 I heard about all the problems so I didn't update.  this one is working great for me so why change it ..LOL . If I do upgrade I think I'll try  Google Chrome  instead

Barbara I so agree it should be part of perks.  As for sluggishness I think its the weather.

Internet Explorer is the standard and I would guess it's the browser that the majority of people use.  A forced change to a different browser seems a bit much to ask.  Back to the original question though...  Why?  (good one Barb!)

This is what I was referring to: http://www.quiltersclubofamerica.com/forums/t/40495.aspx

'Seems like it will discourage a lot of folks from joining.

No matter the browser QCA is the only site that gives me so many problems.

Barbara, perhaps you could write to the powers that be at the quilting classroom. They might do a deal like QNNtv. Of course they might argue that our membership fees don't cover those classes. I'm not sure how their instructors get paid. Would you pay a higher premium in order to get those classes?

We have to pay for Fons and Porters Master Classes as well.

Kris if they made the classes part of the perks ,then Yes I would pay a higher premium,as long as it was a reasonable  rate. or if they would even offer a class or two for a year membership . and the class would be good fro only that year.  I know it will probably never happen  but it would be a great perk. I haven't tried those classes for that very reason. I think if you could have one or two free to try, you might want to buy others. Something like Craftsy does. Or even saying that they could have special deals like buy one get one free.  I guess the more suggestions we give, they might pick one.....

Angele, I still like my idea of one or two with a membership , then I might not object to paying for more classes.  I love the free patterns they give us and the discounts that some of the sponsors give.  but other then that we don't get alot of perks .  One or two of these would be really nice.
