Hello! I want to introduce myself. My name is Ann, and I am in my 30th year as a fifth grade teacher. I am married to the love of my life and have a 13 year old son. We live in Chattanooga, TN. I am a new quilter, but am having the time of my life. I am in a quilting class at a local sewing shop and just took free motion quilting Saturday. It is harder than I thought. So far I have made one quilt top and am doing a quilted wall hanging in my class. I have just started on my second quilt also. Quilting is becoming an obsession with me, and I want to do it all the time. I buy every quilting magazine out there and look online all of the time for new ideas. :) I am ready to learn about this site and read all of the great advice offered by each member.

Welcome to the club. You will love it here and learn a lot. Everyone here is so kind and generous with their information and help. I also took a free motion class and I loved it. By the way, my husband calls me a fabric hoarder. You can get a lot of video help on you tube also. Just type in what you want to know and many, many tutorials will show up. I think every single one of us can relate to your quilting obsession. I think we all are obsessed also. Don't forget to take pictures of your finished quilts and post them in the Show and Tell Gallery but you should take pictures of everything you finish anyway. Again, welcome.

Welcome Ann.  You should go to groups and check out "fear no more FMquilters"  Barbara started this group and it is so amazing to see how she progressed over the year learning to do this.
