I have been a member since 2010 but rarely post.  I live in Canada and right now there is so much snow where I live that its best to stay inside and quilt.

Most of  my quilting experience is self-taught. I took one class at the local quilt shop and learned quite a bit.  I have done baby quilts using panels and rag quilts.  In Feb I cut, pieced, quilted and bound my first quilt from start to finish.  I did this in 8 days so that I was able to take it to my uncle.

I am a stay at home/homeschooling mom.  I have 6 kids they range in age from 24-20months.  I have 3 little boys at home and they keep me hopping.  My dh is great about giving me time to get away(aka to the basement) when he can he works 2 jobs.  Quilting is my down time.

I also like to read, crochet and scrapbook.

Welcome.  Hope you drop in to chat frequently.   Sorry but I would prefer that you keep the snow.   I am really ready for spring.

Welcome Pam.   We know a wheat farmer from Canada that spends the winter here.  We still get snow and cold, but nothing like what you get.

Pam,

Welcome.  I recently was taking care of my 2 GS, ages 22 months and 4 1/2.  I was whipped, pooped, exhausted.... after 3 days.

I have forgotten how much energy it takes to be a mom of little ones, mine are all grown, 31,29,27.

I admire you.  And I too found quilting to be my own personal therapy, back then and today.

Hi Pam!  I'm a stay at home/homeschooler as well!  It's so nice to meet you!  I hope we can get to know each other better.  :~)  I"m in North Carolina, on the east coast of the US.
