Don't know if this is the area that I want. I am in the secret santa area. I like Christmas and paper piecing. I like to quilt but have decided that I do not have the patience for the accuracy that it takes.. I am a retired OR nurse and was very organized in my profession. I seem to get bored too easily to follow directions for long. Now that we finally have our first grand daughter after 9 delightful boys, that clothing sewing is great. That also explains how I became involved in paper piecing! My husband and I owned, briefly, a PostNet store (packing, shipping and small business helper) so I have also had a bit of sales opportunities. Currently we live in St. Helens Oregon to be near our latest grand child and youngest child. Since we know noone in this community, I spend a lot of time sewing.
Welcome. I am a hand quilter myself. I always wanted to try paper piecing. I live in southern Calif, but go up to Olympia,Washington to see family once per year.

Hi Margaret, welcome
Welcome to the site. I hope that you will chat with us frequently. I am a retired critical care nurse and my oldest DD is a nurse in the cardiovascular OR. She loves the OR but it was never my place. I liked my trauma patients.
Here's a link to the secret santa group.

Flo, my cousin Beth lives near Los Angeles and occasionally comes back to Olympia area where she was born and raised.
Margaret, where in Oregon do you live? Our Oregon retreat is full, but it would be great if you could drop in and see us. It's near Lincoln City in October. A lot of us are going early so we can take in the quilt show in Portland.
where near LA does your cousin live? If you come down this way maybe you could get up to Big Bear.
