sam has been cooking without salt for decades.   it is hard for us to eat out a lot in restaurants, because the food is very salty.  we got used to the decreased salt, but i remember how hard it was at first.

I told my daughter in law that she was going to have to raise more chickens.   I think it is pretty dumb to add salt to the fresh meat in the stores.  May just have to get you to send me some....LOL>

Today hasn't been a very good day for me.  I think the added stress is starting to take its toll.   I really need a me day.

Nana, I forgot to add any salt to my last batch of pumpkin bread.  It still tastes good, so I think I will leave it out in the future.

There are a lot of ways to dress up the flavor of food besides salt.   Some salt in the diet is necessary, I just don't add it or at least use only half the amount and have not found a big difference in taste.

Good luck on the dietary changes.

Will  continue praying for you and Lewis.

I would like to ask for some prayers for my grandnephew.  His parents shared with us that he has been diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at age 4.. I have osteoarthritis and a pretty good understanding of the world around me so I can't even imagine his distress or that of his parents.  They are taking him to a specialist in Boston in about a month.  It is always so horrible when children are afflicted with these types of diseases.

Jan,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is always tragic when something like this happens to a child. Hopefully the specialist can help him with all the new medications that are out there now. God Bless.

Jan, I am so sorry to hear of your great nephew's diagnosis.  It seems that life is just so unfair when someone this young is struck with such a major disease.  I will certainly pray for him and his family for guidance in dealing with this disease and relief from pain and handicaps that so frequently come with it.
