Thank you everyone for your prayers.  Things have finally settled down some.  When the Drs office called for an ambulance, there was a 30 minute time before they could arrive, so the fire dept ambulance was called to go to the hospital.  But when they got to the first hospital, it was determined that he needed intesive care , which they no longer have for peds patients and so he was taken by ambulance to Wm Beaumont Hospital, which has a very good peds ICU.  Then they had to call his Daddy and let him know what was going on. Of course he was out driving a semi at the time, but for FIL, so he left the truck and headed for the hospital.   Just tlaked to my daughter and the baby is now settling down, has taken a bottle and is resting easily with a nasa; cannula for oxygen.  Mom and Dad will stay overnight, I have 3y/o big Sis until my daughter arrives to pick her up.  I will probably have her tomorrow.  She is such a doll too.   Ginny

Giny, adding my T&P, can't have too many.  God will take care of this precious little one.

Ginny,

T & P heading your way. Babies are so resilient and yet look so fragile. He will be fine in no time.

Thank you all for your prayers.  Last I heard, the baby is still in a stable condition.  As I had said, he turned 5 weeks today, but he was born 1 month early, which made it a very precarious situation that he was in.  RSV can be a very bad diagnosis for a premie, but so  far he is turning the corner.  Really needed the help of that oxygen.  He had become very bad overnight and actually he should have been taken to the hospital then, but the parents didn't realize it was so dangerous.  OMG were we lucky.  He is such a charmer.   Ginny

I have an pdae on my precious baby GGS.  He is still in intensive care.  They have been trying to wean him off of the oxygen,  so he could go to the regular peds unit, but his breathing increases to over 100 when they do.  He is starting to be able to eat more now, between 2-4 oz.  Wants to be held all of the time.  Think he wil be spoiled when he comes home?-- you betcha---- I will see to that.    Ginny

Ginny:

Hi, Could I please ask everyone to say a prayer fpr healing for my new greatgrandson?  He developed a respiratory infection rom his big sister.  Mom and grandma took him to the pediatrican's and she wanted him in the hospital.  His oxygen level was at 85, but whilr they were there waiting for me to pick up big sister, his oxygen level dropped to 69 %.  An ambulance was called to take him to hospital.  He is 5 weeks old today and apparently has rsv.   Thank you so much.    Ginny

Oh Ginny, I'm so sorry. Thoughts and prayers going your way.
