I love quilting and sewing. I live in a very small community in northern ontario, canada which is 2.5 hours away from the nearest fabric store. This has made me very good at internet shopping and justifies my HUGE stash, lol. Now that my children are on their,own, I have pretty much taken over the whole basement as my sewing room. I use the basement bedroom for my fabric storage room, ha,ha. Pretty sure there isn't a notion or magazine that I don't own. I bought my first sewing machine in 1971 and did garments, home deck and quilting with that machine. I now own several machines from the Janome brand including embroidery and serger. I love creating things with my machines. Most everything I make is given to family and friends as gifts. I look forward to being part of this online community.

I think you'll like your time on this site. I know how you feel about traveling so far to your quilt shop. I live in a very small town in northern California. I do have one small quilt shop at about 25 miles away. The bad part of shopping on line is you don't always know what color the fabric really is until you get it. So glad you joined us here.
