So I saw my eye doc yesterday and am scheduled for cataract surgery April 9. Had to wait until I get back from my oldest son's wedding, which is on March 23. My youngest son and I will drive out to California, leaving around the 16th. He will do most of the driving as my vision in my right eye is not great.

Mary have a safe trip.  The cataract surgery isn't too bad.  They have come a long way with it.

Mary good luck on your surgery.  Just think you'll look like glamour gal or movie star with the dark glasses.

Mary, If you are having single vision lens, it only take 10 mins. You will have drop to deaden your eye. They do this with you awake. jim said it was a piece of cake and not to worry. Enjoy that trip. Wish I could go someplace!

Had the surgery on both eyes, a week apart.  No pain, immediate improvement, what a difference.  Was finally able to drive at night again.  They implanted permanent lenses and I now wear contact in one eye or use my bifocals for intensive reading, sewing etc.

Praise God for these awesome talented doctors.

Oh Joni, that isn't even being discussed yet.  The Doc still thinks my cataracts are not ready.  It will probably be at least a year or so, I am thinking.  But I will let you know when that happens.   Glad you are doing so well with your "new" eyes.     Ginny
