Hi All, T'is I again .... Just so ye know what a smurf looks like ......
Now come on tell me, doesn't that look like Diana! She ALWAYS wears blue!!! - SMURF!
ALL my fabric comes from the USA. Fabric over here is VERY boring and VERY VERY expensive. *me not happy bunny mode* - So I used to go over with an empty suitcase and fill it up to the point of requiring a hernia repair when I tried to lift it! HAHAHAHA! (blames Diana of course). These days I make pillow cases or table runners as my right arm is pretty useless - I had a stroke - so I physically can't lift a quilt anymore :( One year Steven and I made 17 quilts for Christmas pressies - NEVER AGAIN!!!! My house resembled Diana's quilting room!!! (Remember the golden rule: Blame Diana)So I make these small objects - and drink coasters and quilted 'peg bags' that my friends use to put school stuff, shopping or whatever they want in.I'm not the best when it comes to corners (you got it, blame Diana!) So I'm definitely a novice - but (will deny this to the Smurf) I love it. Wish I was there with ye for these gatherings - they look like fun!
Darlene, sending you a bundle via air mail! I agree with what's up with that ground hog? Came to Florida...it's raining...left a bit of snow at home and here we may have more coming....darn....I might miss it!! Left Columbia last night at 7:15 pm and arrived here around 11 am this morn...Drove straight through...it's now 11:10 and I'm about ready for bed!! Getting too old for this.....I switched cars with my niece to give her a break and dad burn if I didn't start losing control of my steering...looked like gravel and it was like 4" of hail....whew.....that was a HAIL of a ride.....but the good Lord was certainly looking down on me and I am still praising him!! Going to shower and catch some needed zzzzz's....did work a bit on my shawl again since I didn't bring any quilting projects ...that was right after playing in the Gulf!

Ruth Ann, you drove all night? Makes me fall asleep just thinking about it. By 10 pm I'm no good to anyone and usually fast asleep. Then up at 6am and raring to go.
You are so awesome girl.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Great job, Ruthann. I drove all 4,500 miles of our trip, but the latest I drove was the last night, until 11 pm. I'm really not any good after dark, so we mostly stopped around a late dinner time. I just can't do that night driving anymore, and if the weather is bad you can really forget driving after dark. Sonny slept most the way, day or night, except the last 2 nights when I think I was scaring him with the winding mountain roads.
Drove to Disney yesterday, left cold in TN...just started that hard Florida rain with more To Come!
did character breakfast at polynesian hotel. DS proposedto his girl in front of Mickey Mouse. They made afuss over them and she did say yes!
Congrats to DS and soon-to-be DIL. Couldn't think of a better place to propose.
congrates to son and future dil.
nan, congrats to your son.

Nantenn, Congratulations...sounds like you have some busy days ahead! Proposal sounds like it was unique. How fun!
Darlene (2manyhorses), I made a chicken pin cushion today, and guess what, mine was "pooping feathers".
Thea, I am praying for your complete recovery of your pain. You are such a role model for me. Not matter how much pain you are in, you are sewing away. You are my hero, truly. How did your Mom handle you absence? Hope all went well. Did the people looking at her house, buy it? I Pray they did for all your sakes.
Karla, Darlene, will be so proud of you making a chick that can poop it's feathers LOL
Karla now that would be a sight to see LOL how did you manage that one ... Barbara
