Nana, I really like your fabric. It's the type that I am trying to collect in all colors for an applique butterfly quilt. When I see it I immediately see butterfly wings!

Well, I almost had my Ugly Fabric quilt top done - was ready to add the borders - when my daughter looked at it and informed me that I had used too many fabrics! So back to the drawing board (still have plenty of the Ugly fabric to make another one). Maybe I'll learn to count this time! That's ok though - I'll have 2 quilts for charity.
It's good you have a daughter that knows what you are doing and can point out your mistakes. I would have thought I was going mad LOL.
Here is my ugly fabric.
Amber, I think that fabric is currently at the height of fashion. You don't like it? The colors might be a little challenging.
Gini and Sandy, still waiting to see your choices...

Your fabric is very fashionable in clothing right now. However I still think it is ugly....Thought it was ugly in the 60s when it came out the first time.
I don't really think it is ugly either. I love the swirl and blend of colors...have considered several uses for it. And butterfly wings would be perfect.
I actually like your fabric. Très psychedelic.
Amber you are right, I love the pinks but the pattern...I suppose if you fussy cut some of the heart flowers they would make a good applique. Can't wait to see your blocks.
Nana - don't feel bad about having nauseating fabric. You are going to make it beautiful so it will be ok. LOL!
Amber - I can't say your fabric is exactly ugly, but I sure wouldn't want it. LOL!
I must say I am enjoying this forum. I have to finish the Disney quilts before I even think about joining so I am still iffy. I have to admit that I did run across an ugly fabric in my stash. I bought it online for a backing and didn't realize what it really looked like. ROFLOL! So, if I have time, I have ugly.
For whatever reason the emails have stopped again. I don't know if I have offended QCA or not, LOL!
Please! What page are the rules on?
Joni, in this thread, look at the last post on p.4 - the link to the rules is there. Thea put it in a new thread so it's by itself. I had to use search to find it as it didn't pop up on it's own.
If you go to Welcome to our Forums under Classic Forums Threads - you will find the Ugly Fabric Contest page!
I am so glad I didn't have to rule on whether it was an ugly fabric - I must have to adjust my eyes - lol - still looking for that really awful fabric. But you all are doing just fine and I can't wait to see the finished results - the judges are going to have a tough time I am sure...
Here's mine. I found my coordinating fabrics and I have my pattern so am ready to start.
