I am blessed with 5 children all gown now and a wonderful Hubby. We were in the military for many years until Hubby medically retired from the Army. We are now back in our home state of Idaho. We are now both students of U of Idaho so I do not get to quilt as much as I like to. I try to look at this like a diet.... I am on skinny food ( quilting) right now so I can enjoy more later.
I have been quilting for about 25 years as I started when I was pregnant with our oldest son. I enjoy mystery quilts as well as traditional quilts. I love love to crazy quilt . Some of my other hobbies are crocheting , knitting, a little gardening and reading books. After the Bible I would say my favorite books are Historical Fiction.
Well that is my "hello" to all of you.

Welcome Rebecca B,
You are one busy girl. No wonder you have very little time to quilt. You will love it here. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Nice, nice people here. Hope to see some pictures of some of quilts.

Quilting My Rainbow
Hi Rebecca, welcome to the group, nice to have you join us, enjoy!
Hi Rebecca. Glad to have you with us. Is that a stained glass star of David in your avatar?
This is a great group, lots of fun, helpful people.
Hi Rebecca, welcome
In school I am a history major with 3 minors. The minors are German, Religious Studies, and Women Studies. The school work doesn't leave much time for "fun" but I have a little so I have the "quilting itch".
Yes that is a stained glass Magen David ( star of David in Hebrew). I wish I could say I made it. I didn't but I love it. Yes I am Jewish so you might see me change my avatar to different Magen David's ever so often.
Thank you for asking
My daughter recently formally converted to Judaism. (We have some Jewish history in the family, but it goes way back.) I have learned a lot from her this past year. I want to quilt her some things, like a table runner with the star of David.
Maybe when my hours cut back at work.
