Sukochi, my mother always said that her mother told her that when it thundered, the devil was beating his wife!  How funny.

LaJuan Sukochi Lee:
What is snow thunder, hail thunder and sleet thunder? Isn't thunder just...thunder?

Thunders**w is rare. The quality of the thunder is different than from a regular thunder storm. I guess it's a big deal when it happens. DH is hoping it happens here when we get our turn this weekend.

LaJuan Sukochi Lee:
When I was little, my grandmother said the devil was beating his wife when it thundered.

My grandmother used to say the same thing but I think it was when it rained with sunshine at the same time.

Has Leslie been on since this posting?  I wonder if she did lose power.
