I'm sure all of you have promised a quilt, or wall hanging and then found yourself under the gun to get it done.
This is the last one of many "promises" I've done in the last few months.
This is made with a few of the horse show ribbons my daughter sent me. I asked her to only send the ones she could part with since I wasn't sure I wouldn't ruin a few. I received two large "if it fits, it ships" boxes. I made squares of batting (12 1/2) and then pieced the pieces on them to make a 10" block. Trimmed the squares down to 11 1/4" and zigzaged the blocks together. Then sashed them with a store bought LOL ribbon. The ribbons edges are fragile, it's easy to fray the edges. Don't think I'll be doing another any time soon.
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.

patty, your ribbon quilt turned out pretty nice, even if you won't be doing another one, until your daughter asks again, that is. : )

Neat-o! I like it!
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
What a pretty quilt.
Patti, Awesome !!! I love your pattern and colors. My DD is a horse lover and owner. She has ribbons, also, and I wondered what I could do with them. Your quilt gives me some ideas. Thanks for sharing . Susan
I like it Patty Mc. You did a fantastic job with those ribbons. You DD will love it.
I can actually say I've never promised a quilt of any kind to anyone.
Patty, that is a great use of those horse ribbons, perfect block for them.
Patty, what a unique quilt! Tell your daughter not to show it to her other horse friends or they may all be requesting them of you!

This is awesome. I bet those slick ribbons were a real pain to work with but you did a fantastic job.
