Admin and I are getting everything set up so that the links can be placed in the upcoming newsletter. This mystery quilt is called City Streets....and don't bother looking it up because this is a pattern designed by me. There will be a few pieces that will take a little patience and accuracy on seams. But don't be discouraged cause mine sure aren't perfect.
The fabric requirements and cutting instructions will be posted on March 15. The Group will be up and running by the first of the month. Everyone get ready and we will all have fun making a really neat 2 color quilt.

Nana this sounds very enticing! Do we pick the colors or do you have specific colors for us to use? Just curious.
Sara
You get to pick your colors. They will need stark contrast such as black and white, black and red, pastels and black, Blue and white, red and white....etc. I recommend that you use fabrics that read as solid such as mottleds, tone on tone, very small prints, or solids. Save the large prints for the bigger border.
Nana,
Thanks for doing this for us. I'm in. I got way behind last summer after finishing MQ6. I really wanted to do MQ7 but passed since I have a number of projects in the works. But I did finish the table topper for my DD & SIL. And I finished a couple of cross stitch quilts for co-workers. I even got the pieces together for the Scrappy Irish Chain but I still need to go buy some more white fabric so that I can put the borders on it.

Oh my, DaraBeth, I used that largest teddy bear n that quilt as a basis for the quilt I just finished for my new GGS. The problem is that for some reason, I can't get any pictures to post. Ginny
There ya go... Now my interest is piqued. Come on now and post those pics. I'd love to see your quilt!!
Dara your project look great!
This mq8 I'll probably be running behind on it.

I'm in for MQ8, got one piece, if I have enough material and need to get another - don't think I have enough contrast in the other fabric I chose. now to get a UFO done and other stuff.
Me too! I tried to get my good friend and neighbor to play along but she's just too busy :o( Did you drop a hint earlier that 3 yards of each of the two fabrics might be enough to get er done? or do we just have to cool our heals and wait a month!?

I did say that when I buy fabric and don't know the pattern yet that I always buy 3 yds. Sometimes I have a little more than I need but I have always felt it was better to extra instead of too little.
Nana, I'm definitely in!
