Here are my morning photos.  The ones with just flowers are taken on my property.  Up the hill towards the house, or down the hill shows the view.  If the panorama shows, it is below the house, looking up.  Then I picked out some photos of the wagon train.  They were taken across the street in the neighbor's field.

Thanks for the pictures Patti.  Beautiful flowers.  What is the reason for the wagon train?  Ginny

Patti:

missed one.

This looks like you might have caught Marva Mountjoy driving the mules!  She's a great quilter from Twisp...and office manager for WOGA ( Washington Outfitters and Guides Association) and the organizer of this annual event (Ride to Rendezvous).  The wagon trail ends its four day ride in Winthrop (in the Methow Valley) on Friday, participates in a parade on Saturday and the start of our annual 49ers Day celebration.  They have packers contests all day Saturday, dutch-oven cook-offs, lots of back-country foods to sample, a campfire dinner, and cowboy music and poetry around the campfire on Saturday night. It's really a unique and fun event!

Ginny, here is a quote for you about the ride:

"WOGA’s Ride to Rendezvous started in 1999 and by its 10th anniversary there were 300 paying participants, according to Marva Mountjoy, WOGA office manager, who packed for Miller for years. The ride now is limited to 100 guests to assure a quality experience.  And while it is WOGA’s largest annual fundraiser, the hope is that it gives a taste of the backcountry that leads to at least some participants signing on for trips with individual WOGA members. The ride also has meant that dozens of local kids and adults have gotten experience working on the support crew over the years."

I went to the LQS today and spent too much money again, but later I will start another small project.  I'm still working on straightening out the quilt that I messed up, but need a break from frogging.

Joni beautful horse are you riding now?

Patti the flowers look like sunflowers or are they a type of daisy.

Went and bought top soil so I can start buying flowers soon. debating on putting up pool.  Didn't get quilt sandwiched today.  Just been doing all he awful spring cleaning.  Received a Hancock"s catalog I'm thinking about ordering some fabric from them.  Has anyone ordered from them before?

Connecting Threads gets your package to you in record time and nice quality for reasonable prices.

has anyone done the kits "spring re-bloomed "with Shabbby Chic. Way above my levels of $$ and probably skills......but i can spot that quilt everywhere, it just jumps out at me in every magazine. I just think it is the most beautiful quilt.
