Wow, IS sounds like you are planning on getting real busy there.  When you are done will you come do mine too?   All of it- the painting, the yard work, cleaning out for a yard sale?   I had plans for the yard today, but went to get gas and hit my leg while shutting the door and tore a really big tear in my calf area.  Had to call someone to come get me to go get stitches.  Bad experience.  No one at the station would help me- wouldn't even come near my car.  Thanks for everyone being afraid to help any one anymore.   My daughter arrived in an hour and took me to urgent care.   Nine big old stitches later, here I sit for now.    Ginny

Susie, I have started on my blocks for the retreat, but haven't gotten too far yet.  They need to be pressed in place and sewn down.  That is all I have accomplished so far.     Ginny

chocake2:
I popped back intothe quilt show and picked up a pattern I just couldn't resist while we were at it- neckties for the boys!  It's just too fun! http://www.vanillahousedesigns.com/tag/kids/

CC, I have that pattern too, I should get busy and make some before my littlest guy is too big for them.

PS I sent you a friend request.

Sukochi, what a nice baby. You are going to have lots of fun with her!

Leslie, your baby is so sweet.

We have 8 little babies at our house, they are providing entertainment for not just the kids, but for the kitties too.

what a cutie!!  so precious - but you know the old adage - The only trouble with a kitten is that it eventually grows up into a cat!

I hope it stays "entertainment" for the kitties and doesn't become "dinner".  I sure wouldn't trust my cats with chicks!  They are too hard on the birds around here...which DH hates.  But they also catch lots of mice...which I like!

Awe they're so Sweet!1 Ours are a month + old and have feathers now. This afternoon I glanced out the window and saw Jenni run past - outside the bounds of her  fence- with one of the four remaining chicks in her mouth.  She was on her way to greet the kids coming home from school and clearly thought she was hot stuff with her prize. I caught her and retreaved Bizcuit, thinking i'd soon be digging a grave... but whe I told her to give me her treasure, that little bundle of feathers rallied and peeped. The only ill effects of the adventure was som doggy drool on his(?) feathers. He(?) took off at a run to rejoin it's brooder mates when we returned it to the pen. The wind had blown the gate open and appearently it made an escape, so it was easy prey for Jen.

Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
