As you all are aware ,they have not found the person who hit my mother last year and ended her life , the folks in Indiana have been working really hard to find out who did this .  Well yesterday I found out that there had been a donation of reward money of $10.000,00 for information ,this money was given by an anonymous  person. I just found out this person  is Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts  .I am just in awe, My mom was a fan and watch all their games on TV.  I just can't believe it,  that this man would be so kind.   bless his heart , there was a big write up about this on one of the local news stations in Indy.  My niece ,let me know about this . they found the drivers of the other two cars that were there the night this happened,  but I have no other information on the progress of the search. I hope this will end soon , we so need the closure , I miss her everyday.  Barbara

Barbara, that is just fantastic news about the reward being offered.  I am so glad that your niece has reached out to let you know what progress was being made.   Now, if one of those other drivers just remembered something that would lead them to the person who did this.   Ginny

OH Sure, Leslie, Karla, et al... Just rub it in. I got up to 4 inchs of fresh new snow this morning. Tomoatos seem a lo-ong way off.  :P

Gini I hope you get your featherweight fixed in short order. .

CC we still have about 6 inches of snow on the ground so no planting here either for at least 2-3 weeks... I too feel very envious of people able to weed and plant!  Yesterday it was about 68F t-shirt weather! Snow melted quite a bit.  There is a nice lake in the school's playground....meaning staff is spending most of their supervision time yelling: get out of the water!  Even finding a dry spot for the students to wait for the bus can be a challenge!

i would love to see a picture of your owl beads. I love owls. I just might have to order a bracelet from you with some of those...

Well, I guess we are on the way to somewhat warmer weather here today.  Now I HAVE TO go out and rake the leaves from my flower/weed beds.   I saw the peony shoots yesterday up about 1 inch or so. The daffodils are blooming but a little weather beaten from the snow/sleet we had earlier this week, but where the deer ate off the tulip leaves, the buds are coming up on most of them.  Now to keep the deer away and let them bloom.  Have to spray them again with liquid fence.  Well, hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work for farmer Ginny today.   Ginny

Barbara, I hope they will find the car and its driver soon. I agree it will offer you some peace,

this has been a very difficult week for me.  One of my coworkers lst her battle with cancer.  After fighting so hard, this 48 year old woman left a big hole in the life of everyone who knew her. Her 12 year old daughter and DH more than anyone else. She was a teacher, an artist, a mom, a wife, daughter, friend with the most positive outlook on life.

The night of her funeral, I came home to learn that my 92 year old aunt had passed. She had a great life and I'm sure she is dancing in heaven as she loved to dance and she loved to listen to music.  So today will be a day of cleaning, a day of sewing and a day of prayers.

May you all have a great weekend.

Ginny,

Right now the baby will remain on hold because she developed that horrible infection in the hospital, she has to be at least 4 weeks out from the infection plus her parathyroid levels must remain stable in the 300-500 level for that long in order for her to "qualify" to be put on the transplant list...She has had so many issues (severe bone disease) from the parathyroid draining her of her calcium that the kids have sought out a true "specialist" in ARPKD (autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease) and if they can be worked in, they are going to travel to Milwaukee WI for a second opinion on the complete treatment of her disease....Ultimately, they would like to coordinate her care between the U of M with this specialist directing her care plan...lots to deal with, but is necessary to keep her healthy and alive ;) Thanks so much for all the prayers :) Beth

We are in Arkansas ay the perfect time to enjoy the dogwoods.   We are off this morning to find the dulcimer festival.   We were then headed to New Orleans, but that is put on hold until we see how the flooding progresses.   It is always fun to be on the road with Sam, and he deserves a vacation after a week of disasters and depositions.

Barbara, glad to hear about the reward.  I hope it shakes out some information.

More importantly, while closure of the issue of who did this may or may not ever come, it is your hurting that needs to be healed.

I still remember my father very often even 39 years after his passing.  That's a good thing.  But, it no longer hurts the way it did right after he died.

Barbara, Its just awesome when some one steps up and does something so unselfishly for another . I know your hurting but it gives you just a ray of sunshine in the gloomy pit of your grief . She must have been a special women and I hope they find the person who did this . It never ceases to amaze me what generous, kind and loving people there are in this world of ours. It sure helps to overshadow the bum who did this to your Mom. Jim is an angel in disguise if you ask me .             Hugs,   Susan
