Am happy to report that after 29 days in Motts Children's hospital, if my GD's parathyroid levels are still trending downward, she will be coming home on Friday!!! Spending the day with My 2 1/2 yr old GS tomorrow waiting for delivery of her dialysis and IV medications at the house....can't even begin to express how excited and thankful that our little one will be coming home....now to focus on getting on that kidney transplant list :)! Thanks to all who kept Camille in your prayers!!!

The book is "Featherweight 221:The Perfect Portable" by Nancy Johnson-Srebro.

I bought the same book. I really like all the info it has.

Nancy,

The steering wheel is on the right side, thats where its supposed to be, its no good us sitting on the right side and stretching over to the left side for the wheel, oh and most of us have what you call manual transmission (i think thats what you call it).

lots of love

Beth,  I am delighted to hear your granddaughter is coming home.  Did they have to wait until everything was back to normal before putting her on the transplant list?   Do you know how long it usually takes before a match is found once she is on the list?  I will pray for these things to happen soon for her,   Ginny

Good Morning Everyone.    Thank You for all your good wishes.  DH did come home yesterday afternoon.  Took awhile to get him all settled in.   Now I know why I didn't want to be a nurse...lol   I made sure all his pillows, quilt and blankets were clean before I went to get him.  He has cable tv in his room so he should be all set.  Tuesday he'll go back and get everything removed.  He'll be so happy for that.  Dealing with catheters and bags is not my idea of fun.  I'm glad I bought the Featherweight now because I can't go downstairs and sew with him up here.  I'd never hear him if he had a problem.  He wants egg salad sandwiches for lunch so just finished hard boiling eggs.  Now to try to do a bit of sewing upstairs in the living room.  Card table and Featherweight will get a workout.

Thanks again everyone.   Diana in East Tn.

Diana, so glad to hear that DH is back home and that you are keeping him comfortable and catering to him.  Men are such big babies anyway, but just give them a catheter and they certainly can't deal with it.    Ginny-  retired RN
