Ladies these helper kitties get around don't they? We don't have any pets anymore but when we did they always wanted to holiday with us. Although the dog only had to see the bags to know she was off on her own holidays to my Dad's. She would wait by the door knowing he was coming to collect her. Memories!!

Still at home as I was streaming this morning from eyes and nose. Very fetching ( NOT) Already decided not to go to work in the morning need to look after myself.

Not sure if I told you I have a new baby. It's a convertible car. Frances will know the make it's a Peugeot ( French ) car. It's gorgeous, It is called Morello Black ( browny with red flecks) it is a hard top with cream leather seats. I love it. Will post a picture so you can see it.

I went back to it and was able to figure it out on my own

And therein lies the beauty of the Featherweights!  Way to go, girl!  Is the website you are using a subscription site?

Marie, here is a link to some free service manuals.

The actual PDF link is in the margin on the lower left side of the page.  You'd want the adjuster's manual and the service manual.  Hook timing is on page 10 of the service manual.

Good for you fixing your own  machine.   Once you knew what you were doing it wasn't difficult was it?

I'm glad you got your machine tuned up and purring like it should, Gini. I found my book but didn't find any reference to setting the timing  (...altho it does note that one of the most common problems for first time Featherweight users is putting the needle in wrong :) At least we know you are not alone, Marie..) The book is "Featherweight 221:The Perfect Portable" by Nancy Johnson-Srebro. It's got a pretty comprehensive trouble shooting guide in the back as well as an original owners manual re-print, with how to use the attatchments, so it's a handy resource for most old Singers.

Yay! The first daffodil of spring has bloomed over in front of the church! We had 4" of new snow yesterday and as soon as it melted off that bright little bit of yellow popped up and smiled at the world.

I squeezed in 45 min of sewing time while Sprout napped today  and finished quilting DS1's dragon wally.  I just need to bind it and put a sleeve on...  If I can remember where I put the binding strips I cut..

Today I planted more tomato plants, strawberries, and flowers (pansies and petunias), plus some Asian lilies.  I also pulled another garbage can full of weeds...my poor back, but worse even are my knees, which are bruised from kneeling on the hard ground (yes I have knee pads, but they didn't help much).  I still need to find a place for 6 more tomato plants and the bell pepper plants.

Ordered a  pizza for dinner as I have completely run out of energy...don't know if I even have enough energy left to continue the frogging on my quilt.  I think it will be very early to bed tonight.
