In am thoroughly grumpy. I have spent the better part of the day isolating and trying to fix the problem with my featherweight. On top of that, there are no repair persons in branson, I didn't have the car so I couldn't drive to Springfield to drop it off with someone there, so I now have my featherweight in pieces, tiny screws everywhere, Grrrr.
the site I was using to do the fix, kicked me off and then I had to change my password and that's taking for fiddling ever. I now have the timing so screwed up I don't even know if my buddy can fix it tonight. The first sentence on the website I was using said, "fixing the timing is EASY". Easy if you have the directions in front of me, which I can't access. I should have known better. she is now well oiled and shiny, even her screws are clean, I just wish she were together and working,
I' m off to see if I can get back on that frustrating site.
gini in north idaho
Today I planted 5 tomato plants and several bunches of annuals, and even a few perennials in the garden since the daffodils and tulips and coming to an end and the irises haven't started blooming yet. Fertilized the roses and pulled weeds...lot's of them, but didn't make a dent on the weed problem yet. One thing that grows well here in Nevada are weeds! All they need is a little water and sunshine and, as they say, they grow like weeds. Wish my flowers and vegetables did the same.
Now I am sore and it is almost time to pick up the boys from school and get them ready for TaeKwonDo.
ls2116:It was actually snowing by my house today guess I'll postpone any yardwork.
We are in the upper 60's today but they say we'll be in the 80's by this weekend. I think maybe Spring has finally arrived.
I have had my tomato plants out for a week now, their doing great. Hope to get everything else out this weekend
OH Sure, Leslie, Karla, et al... Just rub it in. I got up to 4 inchs of fresh new snow this morning. Tomoatos seem a lo-ong way off. :P
Gini I hope you get your featherweight fixed in short order. I have a book on them ...somewhere. IF i can find it in this mess I'll see if I can't find the indstructions for setting the timing.
The contractors left today...finally. They got to the end of the job and dashed out of here like they were shot out of a cannon. ("I feel a drunk comin' on!!") Not everything is quite done yet, but it's all stuff I can finish up easily enough. Kinda annoys me that I have to do it tho... The new insulation is working almost too well. It gets roasty toasty in here when I light the stove to drive off the chill in the AM, so I have to let the fire go out. Unfortunately that means the house cools off by late afternoon so I have to relight the stove. Sure do go through a lot of kindling this way... LOL
Kids just informed me that BM is coming to dinner and that I am making Sketti... Guess I had better go get busy in the kitchen.
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
Doggone, I'm good. I got as far in the directions as taking out all the screws, when I got kicked off. After taking a bit of a break to fume, I went back to it and was able to figure it out on my own. It also showed me that the last guy who worked on it Didn't't have a clue how to service these machines. It now purrs, quietly and so far, knock on wood, it is sewing perfectly.
Gini, you go girl

Debbie, I love your helper kitty photo.
Gini I'm glad to hear you were able to fix featherweight. Its really something how we get use to our machines working with new one though fun can be an adjustment though. I think I'm going to my Pfaff dealer soon to fix an old machine.
