Karla:

Sorry about your back CC, I've had that happen so many times I couldn't begin to count them.  The chiropractor finally got in back to normal after about 10 visits and I haven't had a problem since.

Yeah. DH had about 3 months there where he lived at teh chiropractor, and now he's a new man. He tells me I should go, but we can't afford it. I've had issues since God made man, and I expect that I always will.

My spine seems to have un-locked, so now it's just a matter of icing muscles and waiting for  them ot relax. And hoping that I don't relapse while that happens.  I need a hand project taht I can work on while I sit, but, naturally I don't have anything cut and ready, and don't feel much like cutting anything right now (go figure)...I  usually have something on hand all the time, but for some reason I've let that slide lately. Could be that I have too much help from Sprout.

The weatherman says we are in for 6-8" of fresh snow this evening. Rats. I was enjoying watching it all melt off yesterday. 'Guess we'lls ee if the new insulation makes a difference.

chocake hope you feel better soon.

Picked up my straight stitch needle plate it doesn't look much different than regular plate, but I sure hope it makes a difference in the little piecing.

Passing time until its time to leave for restaurant party.

Is, just make sure before you do anything besides straight stitch that you have your other plate on.  The difference is the straight stitch just has a centered hole for the needle.  If you change needle position, or do a decorative stitch, or zigzag, with the straight stitch plate, you may damage your machine, or at the least break a needle.

Is, before you go any further, check that your new stitch plate has a single hole and not the oval shaped hole like your zig zag plate.

A friend reminded me of our Birthday Block swap back in 2011 and asked if I finished it.  I forgot it is what I did but I searched it out and it is now on my design wall.  I'd love suggestions on weather I should sash it, corner stone it, etc.  Where could I find pics of the finished tops of the other members, that may help?

Mary - I love the colors - I would sash it all with black except that black block and that I would sash with my favorite color - I am not sure if I would put cornerstones or not - I don' t think I would - I do love your blocks - then I would border it with that color that you sash the black block with - and call it my special birthday block quilt...teehee

Thea, thanks for your advice, sounds like a plan.

I was thinking, after looking at it all afternoon, that maybe a neutral beige sashing with black cornerstones.  Haven't thought further than that.  Please tell me what you think of that.

Today I attended a TaeKwonDo demonstration in which 3 of my 4 grandsons participated, the 4 GS being much too young to participate (8 months old), but he did cheer his brothers and cousin on.

I also finished Step 5 of MQ8 and worked on the binding for my wall hanging (which may turn into a table topper since I don't have a wall large enough to hang it on).

Well, I was going to pull some weeds.  So went to the carport to get the thing I sit on.  It had stuff on it.  Well, I put stuff away and though stuff out all day.  No garden, no quilting today.  Still lots of evening left.

Leslie, your new machine looks great.

Karla, you must be proud of your grandsons. What a fun thing to get to do.

Marie, I like Thea's idea for the sashing.

Leslie, that's a beautiful Janome 8900.  Smooth and classy!  Enjoy.

What are the new features?

For those of you getting more snow this weekend (up to 8 inches of new snow!!!) I am going out on a limb and making a prediction:

PREDICTION:  Spring weather will begin on Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:10 a.m..  No more snow after that time.
