Hope everybody dries out soon and we all start chattering about our beautiful weather...
Thanks Vivian. What a beautiful smile!
Me? Well... I sat down yesterday. Just sat down... that's all I did... and my back said "Crr-r-r-r-RACK". In that instant Up-right mobility became a thing of the past. Instead I am doing the old lady shuffle... but at least I am still getting somewhere, however slowly. Thankfully Dh is home today to watch Sprout. Didn't finish quilting the wally as that requires sitting...
Today I did manage to hobble my way over to the PO and home again which helped loosen things up a bit. I wasn't sufficient to put me upright again, but it's a start. When I came home, one of the contractors was sitting on this bumper, smoking his 90th cigarette of the morning. He looked over and announced that I should put in for workers comp and disability... I told him Mommy's don't get workers comp. You can bet he's figuring out how to put in a claim while he's out there puffing away on those cancer sticks, and watching the other guys work. I just hope it doesn't happen while they are on this job! The guy is quite a piece of work. Dh observed that he even appears too lazy to bathe. *sigh* They'll be done and gone by mid-week, thank goodness. The house is already warmer.
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
I didn't take my camera after looking at the clouds on the mountains but my friend brought her phone and took photos. Some technology is great, as long as it doesn’t bounce off my chest climbing hills like my camera does.
I own a smal business, so unfortunately every day is a work day...but when I get home its me and my sewing machine.
I got 9 of my MQ8 blocks put together, but not without a lot of frogging. I hope I like this quilt or I may never forgive Nana for all of those itty bitty pieces which my big fat hands didn't want to handle.
I also got the border machine stitched on my large wallie, and maybe I can sit in front of the TV tonight and get the hand sewn part done.

Sorry about your back CC, I've had that happen so many times I couldn't begin to count them. The chiropractor finally got in back to normal after about 10 visits and I haven't had a problem since.
Ouch, CC, that's no fun! Are you putting ice on it? Any spasms? Now don't be lifting Sprout until your back is healed!
I only went to a chiropractor once and I swear he made things worse, so I've been afraid to try one again even though all this snow shoveling this winter has given me a lot of lower back pain.

Linda:Kris, where do you live to get 6 inches of snow....Alaska?
Oh not me Linda. Nancy in Minnesota.
Vivian :this is about an hour from my house and way up the hills.. almost got a couple of curious horses in the photo.
Great photo Vivian.
It's good to see you posting again.
this weekend I will be sewing. and getting a hand project ready to take with me when I go on jury duty Tuesday. If I get stuck in Spokane, I will want something to do in the evenings. Either my cathedral windows, English paper piecing, or applique.
I am still ripping out stitches....21 more patterns to go ( I had 46) and then I can take it back to get it quilted with the pattern the way I visioned. I invested in a lighted magnified glass and that has been a life saver. It was marked down at Home Depot for $50.00. I want to be sewing again!
Would it have been faster to make a new quilt? Ive taken quilting stitches out, but not on an entire quilt. Even the little i did was a major pain.
I woke up to snow this morning. Not heavy snow, just a sugar dusting that tells me I will not be walking today anywhere there is ice. And since I can't see, I stay home. In my jammies, with my coffee and my book. Yea!!
Great photo. You are looking good girl.
Tonight I will find time to sew. When we fall behind on... anything do we ever seem to catch up?
