Just for fun, could not resist, new shoes, new polish.  Talk about lifting ones spirit, saw some more wild colors  gonna pick up one every week or so.  Thanks Jennifer for doing such a great job on my toenails.

Oh, yes he has, but not in a very long time.   Some days, you are just a target, and I get grumpy when it happens.

Just came in from filling the birdbaths and feeders.  I thought you folks dealing with s*^w might enjoy a little color...Joni, I love the shoes and toes!

The violets are taking over the flower bed, the creeping phlox is just starting to bloom, the peonies are about a foot tall and DH had to mow the grass yesterday for the first time this Spring.  The male cardinal is feeding the female so nesting will soon follow. The robins are paired off and defending territories, and begging for raisins everytime I go outside. The downy woodpeckers and hairy woodpeckers are already paired up, and the stupid squirrels have already had babies.  The goldfinches and juncos have left already left for their northern nesting sites. And according to the calendar the male hummingbirds are due today.  (Haven't seen them yet and hope they delay their arrival a couple of more weeks! )  I think Spring has sprung.

Making slow progress on my textured quilt.  Working on the borders today.  Ya'll have a quilty day!

Joni and Max, you pictures make me believe in spring again.  Here the peonies here have their noses peaking out of the snow.  (shoots just started coming up.)  And at least I can go barefoot inside.

Great feets, joni.

Max...that could be considered cruel. I'm looking at about 4" of new white on top of what drifted in yesterday and they say it's gonna stay that way at least through mid week. All those pretty colors you have seem  especially cheerful in comparison.

Max,

Thank you for sharing the pics.  My garden needs regrouping totally but it has been so cold and rainy I won't be into it for about a month.  And a lot in the fall.

Joni and Max thanks for the spring preview.  Joni, can't wait to let my feet out of prison, had a pedi but can't wear sandals quite yet.

Max, what a site for "snow" eyes!

Haven't quilted any thing yet today, but plan on working on MQ8 later today. I finally got a quilt loaded on the EZ3 frame. Whew!! Learned what to do and a lot of what not to do, the next one should be easier.

Max,

Spring has sprung here for sure.  It's still damp and dreary but these flowers have been blooming for about two weeks now.  Thanks for the heads up on the hummers, juncos and goldfinches.  We get a quite a few of all of them.  DH refuses to mow the grass when it's wet but did put down some lime and I think you can actually see it grow.

Here is the garden near my mailbox where all those squishies come to and another near my front door.  I'm not trying to be mean. Just want you s**w bound friends to know that spring will be there soon too.  We transplanted and mulched some yesterday but it's too cold today to do more.
